Jac's story: chapter seven

“Okay, where is she?” she asked. I was as confused as ever. “Who?” I asked. She frowned at me. “You know ‘who’ I mean, Jac.” She said. I was in shock. “G-Gaz…” I asked. “You heard her too??” she scoffed. “No duh. Of course I heard her…I heard you both singing…so, where is she?” I ran up to Gaz, and hugged her. She shoved me off. “What the heck is your problem?!” she yelled. I fell to the floor; crying and repeating over and over, “I’m not crazy…I’m not crazy…” Gaz looked a little scared. She ran out of the room, fear in her eyes. I wiped my eyes and sniffled. “Jac…if you’re still there, tell me; why did you come back?” I asked to nobody. A quiet, and yet somewhat hard to understand response came from thin air. “Because…I lo…you…god…me…second chance….to tell you….god…ZIM is now suffering…for what he did…me.” I was shocked at first…I was talking to an ACTUAL GHOST! I thought about calling someone from the swollen eyeball, but decided against it. I wanted to be a paranormal investigator…but, revealing my almost girlfriend’s ghost would be evil. Then, as her words were flowing through my mind, I heard a phrase…I lo…you… did she try to say what I thought she said? So I asked. “J-Jac…did you try to say…I love you…to me?” I suddenly felt someone tap my shoulder, so Gaz came back. I turned around to find, not Gaz…but Jac!!! I started to speak her name, but she pressed her finger to my lips; silencing me. “Jac, how did you materialize that quickly?” I whispered. She shrugged. “I don’t know…” she whispered. She shook her head, “but that’s not the point.” She grabbed my hands. The touch of her skin felt so real, and her voice sounded as melodious as it had since the day I met her. And suddenly, she thrust her head forward and her lips pressed against mine. I was surprised at first, then slowly closed my eyes and kissed her back, just as hard. I felt her slowly disappear from in front of me, and for the first time in a long time---I smiled.
